The day has come for our first livestock purchase - our American Aberdeen COWS have been delivered!

We bought Aberdeen cattle, which are best known for their easy-keeping, docile nature, and moderate frame size. The girls can walk right up to them & feed them! They particularly like their 'cookies' (aka NutreBeef Cubes). Aberdeen's also do particularly well in grass-fed operations, as we plan to move them throughout our 20-acre pastures.

We decided to start with 2 males - 1 yearling steer and a 3 1/2 month-old belted boy (Bowtie or Bo) along with his momma (Tracy), who is also pregnant again. I'm still trying to wrap my head around next spring- baby time! 🤯 🐄 Send all your good vibes for my first calfing, friends!
